MaNOC benefits from a 2xGb direct link with Telehouse North and East that comes from a different Telco. This is backed up by a dark fibre ring encompassing Telhouse and Redbus.
In every regional POP, each circuit is connected to a different Juniper M7i router. A single router can provide continuous unaffected service, hence we can tolerate the total loss of a router and/or circuit without issue.
In addition each POP has a redundant UPS system, meaning we have two independent UPS's feeding the equipment. Should either UPS fail (or be taken out of the service for maintenance) your hosting will not be affected.
London has significant duplication of connectivity, which is spread over 2x Juniper M7i routers and a total of six 7200 series routers in five different buildings connected by dedicated dark fibre. The failure of several devices can be tolerated without it affecting the service, so there is no disturbance of your server hosting.
